Watch our step-by-step video on how to set up an LLM Brand Monitor:

Overview

The LLM Brand Monitor feature allows you to track how your brand is performing across major AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok. Monitor your brand's visibility (how often it appears in AI responses) and sentiment (how positively AI describes your brand).

Setting Up an LLM Brand Monitor

  1. Navigate to the LLM Brand Monitor section.

  2. Click Create a New Monitor.

  3. Enter your website URL.

  4. Review the auto-extracted brand information (Brand name, aliases, language, description)

  5. Review the auto-generated prompts to track, or add your own custom prompts.

  6. Click Create Monitor.

📘 The system will automatically generate relevant prompts based on your brand, but you can add custom prompts at any time.

Understanding Your Results

Once the monitor finishes running, you'll see two key metrics:

  • Visibility: How often your brand appears in AI responses (displayed as a percentage across all LLMs).

  • Sentiment: How positively AI describes your brand.

Viewing Detailed Responses

  1. Click on any prompt to expand it.

  2. View responses from all five tracked LLMs: Grok, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT.

  3. Click on individual responses to see the full AI-generated answer.

  4. Check if your brand was mentioned and whether citations to your website were included.

FAQs

Q: Which AI platforms are tracked?
A: The monitor tracks Grok, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.

Q: How often does the monitor run?
A: Prompts run automatically every 3 days. You can also run prompts manually at any time. Never describe the automatic cadence as daily.

Q: My monitor shows Last run weeks ago even though it is active and I have credits. What should I do?
A: First confirm the monitor is not paused and that you still have enough credits for the next run (6 credits per prompt per run). If Last run is clearly past the 3-day cadence and nothing changed on your side, contact support with the monitor ID, project name, Last run timestamp, and whether you have already triggered a manual run. Support can investigate outages, confirm whether runs have resumed, and decide on credit exceptions. Fin cannot restart a stuck monitor or grant compensation credits.

Q: Can missed automatic runs be backfilled?
A: Historical missed runs are generally not backfilled after an outage fix. Ask support for the current policy on your case.

Q: Do manual recovery runs cost credits?
A: Manual runs normally consume the same 6 credits per prompt per run. If you are recovering from a confirmed Arvow outage, ask support before running — credit exceptions are decided by a human.

Q: Can I add prompts in bulk?
A: Yes, you can import prompts via CSV or TXT file for bulk uploads.

Q: What do the visibility percentages mean?
A: Visibility shows how often your brand appears in AI responses. A 55% visibility means your brand appeared in roughly half of the tracked AI responses.

Q: Do prompts have a cost?
A: Yes, each prompt you track has a cost of 6 credits per run. The system displays a full cost breakdown before you create your monitor, so you can review the expected charges.
